Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about booking, pricing, and how mobile detailing works with A1A. Still have a question? Just call or text — we answer fast.

Booking & pricing

How do I book an appointment?
Booking is by phone or text — there’s no online booking and no deposit required. The fastest way to get scheduled is to text a photo of your vehicle to (904) 362-2001. We’ll reply with an estimate and get you on the calendar.
How does your pricing work?
Every vehicle is priced “on condition.” We’ll give you an estimated price up front, plus a small location fee based on where you are (added when you book, so there are no surprises). Once our team sees the vehicle in person, they may adjust the price based on its actual condition. Full details are on our service policy page.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept card and Venmo. A 3.5% processing fee applies to those payments. There are no deposits — you pay when the work is done.
Do you offer add-ons?
Yes — from clay bar and headlight restoration to engine bay cleaning and ceramic glass coating. Browse the full list on our add-ons & enhancements page, then just mention what you’d like when you book.

Mobile service & area

Are you fully mobile? Do you come to me?
Yes. A1A is fully mobile — we bring everything to your home, office, or community. We serve Amelia Island Plantation, Long Point, Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Yulee, and all of Nassau County, FL.
What do you need from me on-site?
Not much — our vans are self-contained. Just a spot to park the vehicle. Before we start, we do a walk-around of the interior and exterior with you to note any existing scratches, dents, or wear, and we do a second walk-around together when we’re done. Please remove valuables and child seats beforehand.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off?
We do. Vehicles are only ever driven by our certified, licensed, and insured team, always at or below the speed limit. Your vehicle must have valid plates and registration for pickup and drop-off. Call us for details.
I live in Amelia Island Plantation. Do you offer overnight service?
Yes — owner Ethan Bly lives inside the community and offers overnight service from his private garage for neighbors, so your vehicle is never left outside. See our Amelia Island Plantation page for details.
Do you work with dealerships and fleets?
Yes. We handle recurring fleet and dealership work with volume scheduling and consistent turnaround. See our dealership & fleet page or call to set up an account.

Services & care

What services do you offer?
Wait — you detail more than cars?
We do. The same precision we bring to paint, we bring inside the home — restoring cloudy, hard-water-etched shower glass to streak-free clarity and polishing natural stone countertops and surfaces. It’s a favorite with Amelia Island homeowners. See in-home services.
What is ceramic coating and is it worth it?
Ceramic coating is a professional-grade paint protection that bonds to your clear coat, guarding against UV, salt air, bird droppings, and light scratching while giving a deep, glossy finish that’s far easier to keep clean. For coastal vehicles it’s one of the best investments you can make. We’re JADE-certified 9H installers — see ceramic coating packages.
Do you detail high-end and classic cars?
Absolutely — from daily drivers to exotics and classics. Ethan is trusted with luxury and collector vehicles and is regularly commissioned to transport high-value cars. Your vehicle is handled by certified, insured hands from start to finish.
How often should I have my vehicle detailed?
For most Nassau County drivers, every 4 to 8 weeks keeps salt air and sun from taking a toll. Many of our clients set up a recurring schedule so it’s handled automatically. Ask us about a maintenance cadence for your vehicle.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured, with full coverage on every job. We’re also IDA members (International Detailing Association) and JADE-certified ceramic installers.
What if my vehicle needs more work than expected?
If a vehicle needs extra attention, our team may recommend an add-on or additional service — but we always ask your permission first and never do anything you haven’t approved. Full details are on our service policy page.
